Rick Owens Worked On An Alternate Diffusion Line Under The "Slab" Moniker As Well As His Mainline Collection Back In 2004. In Addition To The "Slab" Line Introduced In 2004, Rick Owen's Had Also Released A Runway Season Titled "Slab" In Fall/Winter 2001. Before Evolving Into "DRKSHDW" In 2005 By Partnering With Manufacturer Olmar & Mirta, His "Slab" Line Covered A Full Year From SS04 To AW04 And Was Mainly Consisted Of Handmade Garments Produced In The U.S.A. To Add A Grunge Feel And Give The Appearance Of A Vintage Wear & Tear Aesthetic, These Selvedge Jeans Have Been Hand-Distressed And Wax-Coated With A Mud-Wash Coat. The Two Extra Front Pockets That Give That Signature Stand-Out Look That Owen's Is Usually Known For In His Work. These Jeans Were Handmade By Rick Owen's And His Seamstresses Rather Than Being Mass-Produced In A Factory. Each Pair Is Unique.
