This T-shirt metaphorically describes Kurt Cobain’s depression and how it was hidden from the public eye. Featuring a noose in the shape of a head, and small-print reading “I don’t like myself I want to die,” this shirt graphically describes Cobain’s struggles with life in a obscene way. The words are almost hard to read, which symbolizes how Cobain’s depression was not easy to see. The eyes are his initials “K” for Kurt & “C” for Cobain. All of these hidden meanings form the famous Nirvana smile graphic originating from merch for the album “Nevermind.” Part of his Autumn/Winter 2003 “Touch Me I’m Sick” collection.
