Details
Number (N)ine's 2003 Collection “Touch Me I'm Sick” Collection Referenced Both The 1998 Mudhoney Song As Well As Takahiro Miyashita’s Health State, Which Prevented Him From Designing Two Collections For The Calendar Year. For This Collection, Miyashita Drew Inspiration From A 90s Seattle’s Grunge Setting. Takahiro Referenced Kurt Cobain's Wardrobe, Including Pieces Like His Infamous Striped Mohair Sweater. Takahiro Miyashita Designed "Touch Me I'm Sick" As A Love Letter To Everything Kurt Kobain, Including Designer Replicas Of Kurt's Sweaters, Pajamas, Glasses, And Jeans That Accurately Reflect The Inspirational Philosophy And Sense Of Fashion Of The Legendary Grunge Rocker. These Shoes Feature Over 50 Hand-Sewn Patches In The Shapes Of Hearts And Tears. A Zigzag Thread Is Used On Each "Heart" Patch Individually, Delicately Overlapping Each One To Create An Aesthetically Pleasing Collage.
